09 3D printed shirts with Viking Raven motifsDavid H
The Viking Raven logo is one of the most recognized symbols in Norse mythology. The design is often used by fans of the TV series Game of Thrones, or to promote a sense of community, but it has roots far deeper.
How can a piece of clothing be used to tell a story? That’s what 3D printing offers us. Not only can we use this method to make unique gifts, but it also gives us a great opportunity to use our favorite pop culture icons in different ways. To showcase some of the amazing designs and concepts, we’ve come up with some ideas that use the Viking Raven motif.
I’m very happy to announce the official release of my new line of 3D printed Viking Raven shirts, featuring the classic raven design. Here’s one of the first shirts.

In conclusion, 3D printing technology is still in its infancy and is not yet ready to replace conventional sewing. A 3D printer can only print so much, and each piece is limited to a few hundred pieces. A 3D-printed garment requires at least two people: one to hold the pieces in position and one to sew them together. It is also much slower to produce, and each garment is very expensive. However, when a product needs to be printed at scale, such as when it needs to be mass produced for a short period of time, or when it needs to be mass produced quickly, this method becomes much more cost-effective. Today, 3D-printed products are mostly used for prototyping and for creating high-end products. But in the future, 3D-printed clothing may become a popular and affordable fashion item.
